This weekend is The Victoria Day long weekend - Monday being a holiday. It's also called, by many Canadians, The May 2-4 weekend. Which, by the way, we also call a case of beer 'a 2-4', as in "I'm going to the beer store. Want me to pick up a 2-4?" Get it? there's 24 beers in a case. It's all very Canadian:)
The big 'to do' job (as you can see) this May 2-4 is our garden. It's a bit of a mess.
I'm thinking that Marathon Man and I should have a 2-4 standing by for when we finish the job!
Some of us still call it Victoria Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteAnd ... I'm one of those weirdos who thinks dandelions are quite pretty when they are first in bloom. Throw in a few crocuses and you've got a 'wild' garden. I guess a 'weed' depends on who you are talking to.
Gotta love yellow!! It's EVERYWHERE since we can no longer use herbicides in Ontario (yeah, good for people, dogs & the environment). Bad for gardens. Anyway, only Canadians understand May 2-4 even when it doesn't fall on May 24th.
