A Beautiful Christmas Day Walk

Although our latest ice storm was a bad one (leaving thousands without power for days) it did make for a beautiful Christmas day walk.

Long live snail mail...

Our 2013 Christmas Card.
I sent out about 30 via snail mail. Hopefully all 30 recipients got that same happy kid smile that I get when I reach into our letter box and pull out a handwritten card addressed to me. You know the smile, it's the same one you get when you wake up, look out your window and see the first big snow fall.

Christmas One of a Kind Show 2013

Last Saturday we did The Christmas One of a Kind Show. It's a big show!
It was exhausting - so much to take in. And it was inspiring - so much creativity in one place. Here are a few of my favourite works...
Sarah Hillock's Sophie, oil on mylar 60"x36", $1600

Sparrow Avenue's Moose Pillow with snow, $46.74

Erin Rothstein's "Tasting Room - Toast", limited edition print, signed, unframed 24" x 24", $400

The Christmas One of a Kind Show runs from November 28 to December 8, 2013.

Happy Holidays!

2012 was a year of Bigness for us. Our family got bigger with the addition of Kate. Our house got bigger with the addition of our new deck. Mosaicworks started making bigger pieces. We enjoyed our biggest (and best) vacation to beautiful Barbados and of course the girls got bigger because that's what kids do.
On to 2013...

Happy New Year!!!

Goodbye 2011. We enjoyed you! You had your moments but overall you were a good year.
We did Disney in January and took on New York City in July (the week of the heatwave!!!). Mosaicworks kept making stuff and Marathon Man kept running. We said a sad goodbye to our second Vizsla Rita and a happy hello to our third Vizsla William. We renovated our Kitchen and bought a new car ("Das Auto"). We all got a little older (and some got a little taller). Hopefully we all got a little wiser...
And now we're ready for 2012!
