Road Trip, Eastern Canada♡

10 days of driving through Quebec (Old Quebec City), New Brunswick (St.Andrews) and Nova Scotia (Sidney, Cape Breton Highlands, Halifax, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg).
Feeling some Canadian pride - Eastern Canada is incredibly beautiful, especially Cape Breton!

New York City Marathon 2015!

We spent last weekend in New York City where Marathon Man completed his 10th Marathon! (4hrs and 32mins) Yikes!?! He was one of almost 50,000 runners. It was a crazy, amazing and exhausting experience (cheerleading is exhausting:)
We♥NY.

P.S. The One World Trade Observatory was worth the visit. It offers unbelieveable 'see forever' views of the city.
P.S.S. The NYC Marathon has been crossed off his bucket list.

Baffin Island

Last week Marathon Man was in Baffin Island, on a business trip. He came back saying that it was an unbelievable experience - a stunning trip that he never would have taken if it wasn't for work. He was in a whole different world where beware of Polar Bear signs are normal and a case of pop (12 cans) is $66! It was cold and stark yet breathtakingly beautiful. And if he had a bucket list (he's not a bucket list kind of guy) he could now scratch touched an iceberg off:)
I wanted to share some of his photos.

NewYorkCity

Emma and I spent last weekend in NYC:) It was her 16th birthday gift.
We walked and shopped (a lot), saw a great off Broadway show (how2banewyorker) and went to the 911 memorial museum which was a beautiful and solemn experience.
We love NYC.

We were back at Cobourg Beach yesterday. Trip #3. The sun was shinning and the water was cold but not as cold as it was on trip #2. We went early and seemed to have to beach to ourselves (for a couple of hours:)

Yesterday we were at The Cobourg Beach again. The decision was made months ago that we'd be going to the beach a lot this summer. This is trip #2. The sun was shinning and the water was cold. Ice cold:)

March break in Stowe, Vermont

Last week was our March break. We opted for more of the white stuff!!! The days went something like this...snow board/ski, soak weary limbs in outdoor heated pool and/or hot tub, dinner, bed:)

We spent most of our March Break in beautiful Barbados. We loved it. How could we not!?!

Why we love NYC!

Last week we spent 4 days in New York City. We stayed at a cool hotel, saw a ball game, saw a Broadway show, ate great food, walked The Brooklyn Bridge, ran in Central Park, went to The Guggenheim, went to The Met (saw the amazing Alexander McQueen Exhibit, Savage Beauty) and shopped 'til we dropped at an outlet mall!

That's why we love NYC. And that's why we've got to go back!

Back from 'Another World'

We're back from vacation and I'm very happy to say that fun was had by all!!!
Not much more to say. Disney definitely does it right.
The whole experience has me optimistically jumping into 2011 - just like Walt would do.

Excitement level: High! None of us have ever been.
