Bob (August 22, 1995-August 20, 2009)

We said goodbye to our boy Bob today - just shy of his 14th birthday. The picture above is Bob at 9. I still remember the long drive home from The Breeder's house (www.varazs.org) with a whimpering puppy in my arms thinking, "OK now what do we do?". (Smiling) Similar thoughts would swim through my head three years later when we drove home from the hospital with, a new born baby, Emma. By the time Hannah came along we were seasoned pros. None the less it's hard not to think of Bob as anything but our first baby.
As our 'pack' grew Bob always graciously repositioned himself in the pecking order. Something, Rita, our second Vizsla made sure of.
Bob really slowed down in the last couple of months. He wasn't walking as much as we would have liked (funny, it used to be the other way around) but thankfully he was still full of that unconditional love that (like so many dogs) he effortlessly poured out to us. We cherished each and every day that he was with us and we'll miss him dearly.

Bob was a beautiful and wonderful Vizsla, with the best of temperaments and I am so sorry he is gone. Thank you for giving him his 'forever' home and loving him each day of his life for his entire 14 years. Oh where oh where did the time go?

My deepest sympathies for your loss. I know how hard this is and I share your tears and sorrow.

Love,
Sylvia (Varazs Vizslas)
