Why we bought a lottery ticket yesterday

Last weekend, after helping Marathon Man with some gardening, Hannah came running up to me and said, "Mom I found a 5 leaf clover". I was quick to tell her that there was no such thing (nice Mom). Then she showed me a 5 leaf clover! Who knew? It's hard to see in the photo but there are 5 leaves. Soon after my lovely dismissive reply I was googling it.
A 5 leaf clover is a mutation, like the four-leaf clover, of course. The four-leaf mutation is quite rare occurring once in about 10,000 specimens and brings good luck. Five is rarer still. But, according to one site: Five-leaf Clovers bring extra good luck and attracts money. It was then that Hannah suggested that we buy a lottery ticket. So we did. This weeks lotto max is $30 million. Now wouldn't that be something to blog about?!!?

And the moral of the story is ...?
Believe your kids but not the luck of the clover. Unless of course you won the 30 million.

I was out playing with my 2 year old daughter and stumbled across 2 five leaf clovers. I immediately went a bought 5 lotto max tickets, lol. folded them around the clovers and placed it in my pocket. the draw is tonight. (50-mill + 20 1-mill). Hopes this superstition pays out.

Cheers.
