Small change, big impact
We have one more big project left to do in our Kitchen Makeover, painting the cabinets white. In between these big projects I've been working on some smaller ones. As you can see I changed up the roman blinds in the window and painted the trim.
I have to admit that I was a little nervous about painting the trim BLACK. The chatter in my head went something like this...be fearless, just do it, you can always paint it back, stop rethinking it and just @*&#!! paint!!
Obviously my fearlessness paid off. It's amazing what a difference such small changes can make. And the best part is that it didn't cost a thing. The blinds were changed up from another window and the black paint was left over from my console table makeover.
We're almost there:)

Wow,...I would have been nervous about the black trim too but it looks amazing. Can't wait to see the rest.
It seems taking a risk in design is part of the process with the understanding you can always change it back BUT the biggest part is 'elbow grease' - creative stuff is the 'cream' of intensive work.
Thanks Terry,
Was just checking out your Thai Chicken Wrap post. I've been trying to do more 'interesting' dishes lately. I've put the rice paper on my grocery list.
LOVE the black molding! Don't know if I'd be bold enough to do it myself, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE yours!!!!
Looks great!!
Fearlessness rewarded!
